Deal Breastfeeding Support Group is proud to be part of a community. At its weekly meetings, not only does it provide support to mums with their breastfeeding journey but it is a place where new friendships are formed, and is an opportunity for the members to find out more about what goes on in and around Deal. We have visitors from other groups and charities who share their skills, products or knowledge which makes every week a little different. If you know anyone who would like to come along and share what they do, please contact us by email at

Below are some testimonies from mums at the group:

Laura – ‘I love coming to Deal Breastfeeding Support Group, as a social group not just for support. It’s great to meet like minded mums, to make friends and discuss all aspects of raising families. I’ve been inspired by the other volunteers to do the Mother Supporter training myself and I’m enjoying expanding my knowledge and knowing I’ll be able to help others in the future.’

Becky – ‘DBSG started off as a fantastic advice and support network that I needed at the beginning of our feeding journey. Now I love to come and see the other mums and babies and to have a chat about all things! It’s great to see everyone week to week.’

Laura ‘I came to DBSG with my son who was only 3 days old as I was really struggling to feed. They gave me amazing support and information and I have been coming every Monday since. Everybody is lovely and supportive and it’s been really nice to meet new mums.’

Carrie – ‘It’s a great way to start the week, a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and they bring me coffee! I had brilliant support with breastfeeding after I struggled with baby number 1, I have now trained as a Mother Supporter. Even better my toddler is welcome too.’
