Breastfeeding Welcome
The Deal Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme is designed to help mothers by reassuring them that they can go out to shop and eat out as they did before they had their baby, and therefore increase the likelihood that they will choose to and continue to breastfeed. The scheme will also help establishments to understand their legal obligations to support breastfeeding on their premises.
There are a number of benefits to a business joining the scheme, including training opportunities for staff in regard to the Equality Act 2010, free advertising on the DBSG web pages, links to other networks and towns, and an opportunity to increase visitors to their establishment. Once signed up to the scheme and displaying the purple window sticker, the business’ details will be displayed on our web pages, so both families in Deal and visitors to the town know where they can comfortably feed their children when out and about.
